They are looking for artists of all disciplines and artforms who want to explore their own creativity alongside that of the children and teachers that they are working with, artists who relish working as part of a team and offering cultural encouragement to children throughout Sheffield.

FourDocs is a looking for an Editorial/Editing Assistant to assist in the running
of Channel 4’s broadband channel for documentary. This is an exciting opportunity
to contribute technically and creatively to a growing community of documentary
filmmakers, using the possibilities of online film to grab the attention of
broadcasters.

The Editorial/Editing Assistant will assist the Editor of FourDocs in the
day-to-day administrative and technical running of the FourDocs site, as well as
help to develop the editorial content of the site, continue the growth of the
FourDocs online community, and build awareness online and offline.

Sudan Independence Day

Flag of SudanSudan achieved independence this day in 1948. Independence was gained in 1956 from Britain and Egypt.

Currently there is a hugh humanitarian crisis within this large ol producer that has prompted groups such as Amnesty International and Human rights watch to lobby governments and the UN to intervene to prevent the ongoing killings in Darfur.

Cameroonian Independence Day

Cameroon FlagIndependence for Cameroon was on this day in 1960. Although two-thirds of Northern Cameroon opted to join Nigeria in 1961, French Cameroon opted to join the Republic of Cameroon to form the Federal Republic of Cameroon.

At the time of World War I, Cameroon was officially a German colony, however it was split amongst the French and the British as spoils of war following Germany’s defeat.
