It’s with great sadness that we heard the news about the death of Black British Singer and songwriter Jean Adebambo earlier this week. The lovers rock singer, who was most recognised for singing the classic ‘Paradise’ has recently enjoyed a resurgence in her music career, performing at the huge lovers rock revival show late last year at the Brixton Academy, an event attended by thousands due to the calibre of artists who performed on the night.

No details of her death have been published from an official source, however speculation is rife on the internet as to the cause of her death.

Whilst we appreciate people want to know how this great lady died, we think it best to leave the speculation where it is and simple wish to extend our condolences to her family for their loss.

Jean worked as a health visitor in recent years, but has recently enjoyed delighting fans, new and old, with her scintillating vocal and musical talents.

If you wish to remember Jean Adebambo, there is a memorial show at the Hackney Empire on March 15th. Please see the Hackney Empire website for further information.

I was listening to the radio when I heard louisa Marks died. They played her songs and it took me right back to my childhood.
What a remarkable voice she had, I,m ashamed to say I don’t own any lovers rock but had the honer to see her perform at the tabernacle some years ago She brought the house down,
    R.I.P Miss Louisa Marks.
