Talking Abolition

For 2007 a recurrent theme we hope to have on Bambooo concerns the 200 year anniversary of the parliamentary abolition of the trans-atlantic slave trade. If you have written articles, done research, produced arts or culture related material or produced performance pieces relating to this theme, then we want to hear from you.

Please help us to build this information resource. We want to know about events, debates, readings, exhibitions, books, teaching materials, projects anything that relates to this bicentenary.

January Submission Theme

For the month of January 2007, we wish to have articles, photographs, multimedia, poetry, events anything that can fit on a website that concerns the theme Health.

It’s the new year, we know that after the Christmas and Kwanza festivities and celebrations, all of us will think at least for 5 minutes about how we can cleanse and heal their bodies if we have over indulged.

October Submissions Theme

October’s issue concentrates on the theme of Travel.

We want to hear about your travel around the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

Why do you travel, where do you go, what do you do when you get to your destination, how did you choose your destination, anything travel related.

Send us your word, pictures, quotes anything. Please check the Contrbutions page to make sure you know the types of things we accept and in what format to send them.

As this is an online magazine, you can contribute all through the month so get sending.
